Sugar-free Granola.

I love crunchy granola but I don’t like when the shop bought ones are laden with sugar. I have put together a recipe that is really delicious and depending on what you like you can add different bits and pieces to the main mix.

Main mix:
4 c rolled oats
1 c chopped almonds.
1/2 c coconut oil, melted
4 tbl Stevia ( I use Norbu brand)

After cooking:
1/2 c rice bran or other
1 c 5 seed mix or other
( if adding other ingredients just measure it out to 1 1/2 cups)
1 tbl cinnamon ( adds sweetness)

So melt your oil and mix in the above ingredients from the main mix section. Stir until combined. Place onto baking trays, the thicker the layer the longer it will take. Them into a preheated oven of 180 degrees C. This will take between 25-45 mins, all depending on thickness of oat layer. Don’t walk away and leave, this one requires you to stay close otherwise you will have burnt granola.

Turn and stir your oat main mix every 5 mins until it is nice and golden.

When ready, pour into a bowl. Then add the remaining ingredients. When cooled, place into a sealed container.

Makes around 6-7 cups of granola.
